Jon M. Bebeau

Jon has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and business development of CastleGarde. As a former Vice President in Information Technology for a Fortune 50 company, Jon had worldwide experience in the areas of managing information systems, software development and delivery systems, and financial management systems and services. His key focus is leveraging technology in new and innovative ways that provide higher value and service to our current and future clients. With over 30 years of information technology experience, business management and consulting experience, Jon brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership skills to the company. Under his leadership, CastleGarde has grown from a fledgling company to a national consulting firm with three offices across the United States providing services to Clients in Europe. Jon has guided CastleGarde through the deployment of several new lines of business in support of the changing regulatory directives and technical demands of the evolving information security threats. Before acquiring CastleGarde, Jon founded several technical services companies, an application service provider company providing networking security, voice or data communications systems and an application software development consortium. Serving as Castlegarde's President and CEO, Jon feels it is necessary to take time to speak with industry user groups to keep abreast of their growing information security needs. Jon did his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida in Electrical Engineering (in the days before Computer Science programs existed). Jon holds and maintains several industry certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), and Certified Information System Manager (CISM), Certified TG-3 Auditor (CTGA), Certified in the Governance of Information Technology (CGEIT) and Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) among others.

 Alan W. Ropes – Chief Operating Officer

 

Alan W. Ropes

Alan W. Ropes is the Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for CastleGarde, Inc. with primary responsibility for product and service delivery in the areas of Compliance, Engineering and Business Continuity  With an extensive background in all aspects of operations management, Alan’s previous operations management positions have included ITT’s Advanced Technology Center, VP of Technology and Business Services at Nielsen Media Research a division of D&B, Solutions Architect, Sun Microsystems as well as various other VP of Operations positions for both small and medium size business.  While at Sun Microsystems, he was closely aligned with the Sun Professional Services organization and is considered a subject matter expert in the areas of infrastructure management and controls.  Having spent over 25 years managing and directing the activities of high-end complex data centers, Alan has an extensive knowledge base and experience in the areas of technology and infrastructure processes, procedures and compliance based management. Alan has a BS in Business Administration from Sacred  Heart  University in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

 Penny Springsteel – VP of Compliance Services

 

Penny Springsteel

Penny has been with CastleGarde for over twelve years, and has been actively involved in providing compliance services to our clients including Information Security Plan documents, Website Compliance, and Third Party Vendor Security Posture Reviews. Prior to joining CastleGarde in 2002, Penny held various mid-level management positions in operations and headquarters staff at AT&T, Lucent, and Avaya for over 30 years. The last position held with Avaya was Project Manager working closely with corporate R&D in the development of a new product being brought to market which would assist clients in complying with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley by providing secure routing to their telephony and information systems via their network(s).
